JIM BEASLEY

Jim is the owner of Spot Shooter Archery and Killer Beez archery products. He picked up his first bow in 1993. After 7 years of shooting leagues and bow hunting he wanted to take his shooting to another level. Jim became a student of Terry Wunderle and started shooting tournaments around the state.

In the early days Jim shot 3D and Spot tournaments with his daughter Holly who won the Canadian Nationals and set a national record at 10 years old. Holly now has a Masters degree and works as a social worker. Jim enjoys his time with his girlfriend BIBI who supports him in all of his archery activities. He is a member of Flint Bowmen Archery Club in Grand Blanc, Mi and Oakland County Sportsmen’s Club in Clarkston, MI.

Jim currently has 9 state championships, 4 state records, and is a 2009 NAA North Region champion. He won 2nd in the Badger Pro-Am in Wisconsin this year and set a NAA national record for the Star FITA Outdoor Compound Master 50+ at Single 70 meters in Renssaeler, IN during the July 2009 tournament.

Jim’s competitive bow setup consists of a PSE Moneymaker 58# 27" with a Sureloc sight, Specialty Archery 6x scope, Pro Tuner rest. He makes and uses his own Killer Beez strings and balances the setup with a PR signature stabilizer. His arrows are Easton 2314 with Killer Beez custom Stinger points. DON BAXTER

Don started shooting around age 42 when he bought a bow for his son and he wanted dad to shoot with him. Don was one of Terry Wunderle’s first students in 1995 when he stayed the weekend learning how to shoot the fundamentals of archery.

Don has over two dozen 300, 60 spot games recorded in Saginaw valley shoots. One tournament Don shot three perfect 450 FITA rounds in three different categories, using three different bows!

As well as winning dozens of archery leagues, here are a few of his accomplishments. He has more than 20 MI state championships, 5 US North region championships, 2 National Championships and currently holds 5 US National records in Star FITA Outdoor Compound Master 50+.

Don is on the PSE Pro Staff and has other sponsors as well. He is a retired electrician and works part time at Spot Shooter Archery. Don loves to work on bows, arrows and any other archery equipment. “Working with Jim Beasley and on his Pro staff has been one of my greatest enjoyments and blessings”.

TED LEMANSKI

Ted Lemanski started shooting with his Dad at the Oakland County Sportsmen’s Club in Clarkston, MI when he was 8 years old. He participated in State and National Tournaments with him until he was 17; when he won the NAA Nationals. That year Ted’s Dad was Third in the State NAA tournament.

Ted’s also shoots with his son, Mike, who started shooting with him at OCSC when he was about 10 years old. Mike is now in the Army Honor Guard now and stationed in Washington DC.

Ted met Jim Beasley, the owner of Spot Shooter Archery, in 2006. “I bought a new Hunting Bow from Jim and was very impressed with his knowledge of both Hunting and Target Archery. Jim’s enthusiasm and dedication to shooting Target Archery is contagious. As a result I bought a target bow, and started Shooting Tournaments with Jim, Don Baxter (Pro) and Spot Shooter Staff members, Becky and Mark Salsgiver.” In 2007, Ted joined the Spot Shooter Staff.

Ted now shoots State, Regional and National Tournaments. In the last three years he has been fortunate to win several medals shooting in Michigan State Tournaments. In the summer of 2009 Ted placed second at the NAA Nationals in Hamilton, OH.

Along with Staff Members Gail & Norm Fox, Jim Beasley and Don Baxter, Ted has been shooting the NAA Great Lakes Outdoor Regional in Rensleer, Indiana for the last 3 years, where he won the Regional’s and the Indiana State Shoot three times.

Ted shoots a Hoyt Vantage Pro 50# T.R.U Ball Sight, Speciality Archery 6x Scope, Pro Tuner rest, Killer Beez strings, Doinker Stabilizers. His arrows are x10 Pro Tour and Gold Tip

NORM FOX

Norm and Gail Fox joined Team Spot Shooter in Jan 2009. Norm has been an avid bowhunter for over 20 years and a competitive target shooter since 2006. Norm has some state indoor and outdoor titles and is a member of Flint Bowmen Archery Club in Grand Blanc, MI. Norm also enjoys shotgun and rifle hunting throughout the state and cruising local lakes in the summer with Gail and their daughter Hannah in their runabout/ski boat.

Professionally, Norm is an independent insurance and personal finanacial advisor for Fox Financial Services in Grand Blanc, MI since 1987 and Gail is Director of Community Relations for Sunrise Assisted Living in Clarkston, MI.

GAIL FOX

ROD & KIM COLES

Kim and Rod Coles have known Jim Beasley since 2001 and have worked with him doing small projects since he opened Spot Shooter Archery. Now Kim volunteers at the store once a week helping with the books.

They have been members at the Flint Bowmen Archery Club since 2001. They both enjoy shooting indoor leagues, outdoor 3-D leagues, and various local tournaments and have won several awards. Rod assists with the Flint Bowmen JOAD team and Kim coordinates the youth league along with many other projects at the club.

Their son, Josh, has worked with Jim since he opened Spot Shooter, while attending Delta College. Their daughter Crystal is on her high school pom pon squad and is very active in her dance studio where she is on the competitive dance and pom teams.

JOSH COLES

Josh has been shooting archery for almost 8 years now. He has achieved many state championships as a young archer. He has been working for Spot Shooter Archery since the day it opened about 3 years ago as a bow technician and salesman.

Josh has helped with the youth instructional program and Flint Bowmen archery club for 4 years now and shot on the Flint Bowmen JOAD team for 4 years. Some of Josh's other hobbies include customizing cars.

He is a member of Desired Image car club in Flint, MI. Josh is always willing to help you with any questions you may have about shooting or archery equipment.

MARK SALSGIVER

Mark has been an avid archery shooter for many years. He is a level two NAA Instructor. Mark is also the JOAD instructor at Flint Bowmen Archery Club. He holds many state championship titles and also holds a state record for Indoor NFAA. He took 2nd place in the 2007 Indoor NAA Nationals in the men’s 50 plus age group.

BECKY SALSGIVER

Becky is a level one instructor and has many state championship titles. She is currently the 2009 national Champion for the Women’s Indoor NAA 50 plus age group.

Mark and Becky have been on the staff of Spot Shooter Archery since the shop opened. She is also part of their office staff. They have been shooting archery together since 1998 and are also proud parents of two sons, as well as, two wonderful grandchildren.

RON GERCHOW

Ron’s dad had him in a goose blind when he was four, so he grew up hunting. He started bow hunting at fourteen and took his first deer with a recurve bow then. Ron has hunted waterfowl and upland game and raised dogs for many years, but everything kind of got in the way of bow hunting, so he bowed out of the shot gunning and now bow hunting is what he enjoys most.

Ron shot competitive Trap and Skeet for a few years and just recently started shooting target archery

Ron shoots 3D, Indoor Spots and Broad Head leagues as a member of the Oakland County Sportsmen’s Club. He joined Team Spot Shooter in January 2007 and has enjoyed being on the team and working in the shop very much.

This year he will start shooting some tournaments and get a little more serious. Hopefully an old dog can learn some new tricks!

Ron's indoor target set up is a Hoyt Vantage X8 with Killer Beez strings, a Sureloc sight, Specialty Archery 6X scope, a Doinker stabilizer and v-bar. For 3D season he shoots a Quest HPS33 with an G5 expert rest and G5 optix sight with a Doinker stabilizer.

RYAN PAYTON

Team Spot Shooter member Ryan Payton has an obsession for archery & hunting! Ryan has been an avid hunter since the age of four and has just recently taken his archery skills to the next level. He was a PSE Field Staff Member in 2009 and has been promoted to the PSE Pro Staff due to his dedication and devotion to the sport. He is also a Mossy Oak Pro Staff member.

Ryan traveled to New York to participate in the IBO Worlds competition, after qualifying at the state-level. “It was an amazing experience – a lot fun!”

Ryan created, “Sunry’s Outdoor Productions” in 2007, with the production of his first hunting DVD, Pursuit of the Wild. On the video you will see Ryan take down a 500 lb. Black Bear with his bow & arrow! “We live for this!”

BRIAN FINK

Brian is a passionate bow hunter and avid target archer now for many years. He is a level two NAA Instructor. Brian is a JOAD instructor at Livingston Conservation & Sports Association Club. He has competed in both State and National Indoor & Outdoor level Archery Tournaments and IBO/3D Tournaments.

Brian enjoys working with all levels of Archers. He is also a student of Terry Wunderle. Brian looks forward to volunteering his time at Spot Shooter Archery and working with the Pro Staff Team at Tournaments and Vender organized Archery Events.

GREG FINK

Greg started shooting when he was age 11 with his father at Livingston Conservation and Sports Association Club in 2006. He became a member of the LC+SA JOAD competition team in 2007. Greg is also another proud student of Terry Wunderle.

Greg has competed in many State and National Tournament Archery Championships. He is the current 2009 Indoor and Outdoor JOAD National Champion with two Indoor National JOAD records. He is also the Indoor and Outdoor State Champion. Greg was awarded second place at the NAA/USA Archery Outdoor National Championship in Hamilton Ohio this past summer, 2009.

Greg loves archery and the people that are involved with the sport, “My father and I have met so many wonderful and helpful people at IBO, Field and Hunter and Spot Tournaments all around the country”. Greg enjoys helping out and working with other Pro Staff members at Spot Shooter Archery. He regards being part of Spot Shooter Archery Staff Shooting Team as a real blessing.

SHELLY SHATTUCK

Team Spot Shooter member Shelly Shattuck has been passively shooting traditional archery for the past 10-years. Shelly stepped up to a Compound Bow in 2008. Since then she’s won numerous trophies, including several women’s archery leagues.

In this upcoming year she has scheduled many ASA and IBO state competitions that she is currently preparing for with hopes of qualifying for the Worlds Competition. Good luck, Shelly!

Shelly shoots a PSE X-Force GX (2009) and a Black Widow Recurve. “The speed and accuracy of the PSE X-Force is amazing!” She is shooting over 270 ft/second at a 26” draw-length!

BIBI TROUPE

Bibi Troupe has been involved in archery with her boyfriend, Jim since mid 2008. Her joyful spirit and positive attitude make her a pleasure to be around. She supports Jim in his competitions and in his business. She enjoys shooting local leagues and competitions with him.

Bibi was born in the Philipines and has lived in the US for over 25 years. She is a fitness fanatic and enjoys weight lifting, aerobics, bike riding and dancing. Her cooking is excellent (Jim likes that) and she has many of her own exotic recipes.

Her dedication to her archery training, along with her competitiveness, will soon make her a force to be reckoned with in future tournaments. Bibi shoots a Hoyt Kobalt – 23.5” draw at 31 lbs. She has a Pro Tune rest, SureLoc Sight, Specialty Archery 4x scope, with a PR Signature stabilizer. She shoots X7 20H arrows with a TruBall HT release. Her bow is also outfitted with Killer Beez Custom Bow Strings.See below how Bibi's shooting style has progessed in a very short time working with Jim Beasley.
